A work for concert band, An Abundance of Life was written in response to witnessing a complete restoration of the human spirit after a tragic and life-destroying moral error in judgment. This destruction of self threatened family and friends and was difficult to own up to.
It took courage to step forward and begin the process of restoration. It didn't happen overnight and came in hesitant fits and great strides. Still, restoration came, and the dark was a friend no more. The light of truth and surrender healed old wounds and planted the seeds of life.
